When you create a dichotomy, you create a problem

A mathematical perspective of either/or instead of both/and

Travel can be escapism, hedonism – from the perspective where we call those things “bad”

Which is just the opposite perspective from where

we felt so stuck and locked in that we needed to be set free into the unknown and dive into our senses to find something that feels real again

The secret is,

You make yourself or your world “the problem” either way.

But…

what if it wasn’t a problem?

what if it was a genius thing you did?

what if you outgrew it and it served you well til it didn’t?

what if you just need something new

and it shows how much you’ve grown and changed now?

isn’t that a beautiful thing?

or at the very least, a natural thing

rather than something bad, ugly, to be avoided?

and is it possible it both could be true?

we can’t know the medicine for other people

we can only know the medicine for ourselves

and what if we talked about it like it was medicine

rather than an exorcism?

Do you have to call something a demon,

just because it’s your friend no more?
